On April 19, 1943, the <a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16937\">SS<\/a> faced<a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16945\">a heroicuprising<\/a> by fighters who refused to die without a fight. The forces were unequal, and the means of combat were disproportionate. The uprising came to a tragic end on May 16, 1943. Deportees from Auschwitz were temporarily sent to Warsaw to clear the <a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16941\">ruins<strong> <\/strong>of the ghetto<\/a>.    <\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>The first stage of the Nazis\u2019 goal has been achieved: the end of the <a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16949\">Jewish presence<\/a><strong> <\/strong>in Poland\u2026 and elsewhere in the East.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>In France<em>, <\/em><a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16865\">the Jewish section<\/a> of the M.O.I. reports on the uprising. The <a href=\"#\" data-note=\"16933\">underground press<\/a> calls for resistance in all its forms, regardless of political views, social background, or nationality. <\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>The Jewish Communist resistance fighters are working to highlight the connection between the rebels in the Warsaw Ghetto and the anti-Nazi struggle in France. They are working tirelessly to strengthen ties with the French people. <\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising served as an inspiration to all Jewish resistance fighters who were aware of the event.
