The landing in France is imminent. For the resistance fighters within France, the time for insurrection is approaching.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

The Resistance was organized into two structures: one, the military branch, consisted of the French Forces of the Interior<\/a> (FFI). The FTPF<\/a>  <\/strong>and the FTP-M.O.I.<\/a> groups are integrated into the FFI.<\/p>\n

The other organization, a civilian one, brings together the Departmental Liberation Committees<\/a> (CDL). They <\/strong>play a significant role throughout the country. In Paris, although they were severely affected by the crackdown, more than 200 of them\u2014close associates of the Jewish section of the M.O.I.\u2014joined the Paris Liberation Committee.<\/strong><\/p>


<\/strong><\/p>\n

In April 1944, at the suggestion of the French Communist Party and on the initiative of the National Council of the Resistance ( <\/a>CNR), the Patriotic Militias<\/a> (MP) were formed. They aim to become mass organizations open to all patriots. The goal is to prepare for a national uprising.<\/p>

C\u00e9cile In May 1944, Cerf was <\/a> appointed FTP-M.O.I. coordinator for the establishment of these Patriotic Militias. The supply of weapons is a major problem.<\/p>\n

The Jewish Youth Union is forming its own militias, the Jewish Patriotic Militias. A flyer from theUJJ<\/a> <\/strong>Paris calls for the \u201cGreat Struggle.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
